Hello People! At the perceptive suggestion of T-BONE, I, in my Manly Might have decided to blog about the recent Orchestra performance in Lake Orion for String Festival.
The whole odessey began directly after school.... we (Adam and I) had to go straight from the best English class ever to the orchestra room, to participate in the orchestral extravaganza of moving Three basses and two cellos..... Yay
T-Bone and I were the passengers in Adam's Mom's car..... along with my viola, T-bone's cello, and two basses. It would be quite a long ride.
Basically, the experience at Lake Orion was generally *fine*. We performed for 4 judges and got decent scores. 2 out of 5 is not terrible.
The problem came when we went into the Sight Reading room. When we turned over the first piece, and it was a devilishly slow, impossible to tune bach suite, complete with solo.
It seemed, as we were playing it that it was impossible for the experience to get any worse. that, was, until we started the second piece. A fast paced piece in, yes, you guessed it, b minor.
Ah. gotta go.
Aleks out.
